4th Annual Truck Show and Swap Meet

The Central North Carolina 4x4 Club is an incorporated, non-profit organization open to all makes and models of 4WD vehicles. The club is based in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area, but we have membership in NC, SC, and VA. Our members range from first time 4-wheelers to seasoned veterans. CNC 4x4 is affiliated with United Four Wheel Drive Association and Southern Four Wheel Drive Association

Last year, event was held at NC State Fair, attendance was 600 through word-of-mouth and web advertising . This years advertising expect to draw 1500+ people

Setup Saturday, June 25 (event day) 6am-9am
Gates open at 9am

Facilities:
Electrical hook-ups: CNC will coordinate (at-cost) through NC State Fair Services
General Services: Services [tables, chairs, labor, etc.] may be coordinated through CNC with NC State Fair Services (at-cost).

Parking: Parking is free and offered at first-come-first-serve. Sponsor space will be available on a similar basis and coordinated in advance.

Security & Safety: CNC 4x4 Club is providing a security official on site during the event
NC State Fair Services provides safety personnel and the aid station for the general premises during the event.
Convenience Services : The event site has restroom facilities within a convenient distance
NC State Fair Services provides food concessions for the event (outside food concessions are not allowed in accordance with the event lease).

Publicity
Flyer: Flyers will be distributed to local vendors
Billboard: The electronic billboard at the fairgrounds will display event information

Website: The CNC 4x4 Club website http://www.cnc4x4.org will have a feature page with sponsor listing, event description, and links to sponsor websites

Print: The NC State Fair Services electronic and print calendar will list our event

The event will be submitted to nationally-distributed truck and 4x4 magazines for inclusion in their calendar of events

4x4 Meet and Greet

Time to see all you rubicons stock or heavily modified!!!!!! We are going to be having a big Meet and Greet at the HOOTERS on Airport Blvd. This is the new one open across from where we have our meet and greets at Crackel Barrel. The date and time is as follows. SUNDAY SEPT. 12TH at 5PM. Show up early is just fine as well I will be there at 3 to get a good parking spot!!!! Well i hope to see that you join me in showing off your rubicon along with all the other jeeps and yotas and anything else that shows up. THINK4X4!!!!!!

We are holding an event open to all H1, H2 and H3 owners and their families on Prince Edward Island, Canada July 16-17-18, 2004.

We are inviting all Hummer owners to take a look at our itinerary and let us know if they might be interested in attending. We have 5 hummers confirmed after only starting to organize this event 3 days ago, so we are quite pleased and excited.

The CNC 4x4 Club 3rd Annual Truck Show and Swap Meet is June 26th (Saturday).
It's going to be at the NC State Fairgrounds.

Admission is $2 per person, parking is free.

We will have a radio station broadcasting remote, national sponsors, local vendors, and ALL sorts of 4x4 people and outdoor enthusiasts. The fairgrounds are handling facilities, including food concessions.

Last year we had 500 people at a field, in a cold drizzle (held in March) with no real advertising - just word-of-mouth. This year we anticipate well over 1500 people.

We also have a swapmeet (like a flea market), vendor, and sponsor spaces available. (See contact info if you're interested)

Volunteer to be checkpoints in a 65 mile intense Adventure Race
covering two major parks and the Catawba river

We would support your crew the night before and your people would just
be staged at several checkpoints the day of the event. The day before the
event, we would have your entire team drive right down Uptown Charlotte to
make a huge splash, then stop at the Uptown Hilton for a good nights rest...
We would need as many vehicles as you can provide and look to have at least
12... We would provide a night stay at the four diamond Hilton in Uptown
Charlotte for there strong commitment...

Update:

We have made some changes to the date of the CarolinaQuest Dawn2Dusk Adventure Race. Due to the complexity and permit issues with 10 different agencies, we have moved the date of the CarolinaQuest Adventure Race to July 24th, 2004. This unfortunate change in date has affected many race teams and we have already notified them of the change. We lost a few teams, but many more have stayed on. We have a new title sponsor coming on board, as well as launching radio advertising later this month on WFNZ in a big way.

With this, I need to ask you to poll your members to see how many are willing to switch to the new date and stay with us. Please inform them and let me know as soon as possible. The same conditions of the comped hotel will still apply. Nothing else has changed except the date of the event.

I hope this does not change anyone's commitment to the CarolinaQuest event.. In addition, if any of your folks are in town on April 22nd, we welcome them to a sponsorship event on Lake Norman on our 80 ft boat. This is free to you members, just for hanging in there with us and the event change. This event is the day before our Golf Tournament.

Then I hope to have your members return on Friday, July 23rd, for the pre event festivities..

Our 4x4 club, CNC 4x4 Club (http://www.cnc4x4.org) is having their annual recovery day on May1.

Admission is free, and open to the public.
The event consists of several blocks of instruction covering the basics of driving off-road (and, more importantly, getting unstuck!) followed by driving on the Hendrick Hummer Test Track.

Toy for Tots run

We will be meeting at Kascar for the SE Hummer Club meeting at 9am and then going over to the Harley Davidson shop around 11 for the run. The Marines are setting up everything with the Sheriffs Dept as far as road blocks and an escort.
